It is one of the greatest tourist attractions in Poland. The Salt Mines are located 30 min. from the apartment by car. The phenomenon of that place is the fact that it has been working uninterruptedly for over 700 years.
Since 1978 the Wieliczka mines have been on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list (among first 12 objects from the whole world). The mine includes over 300 km of corridors located on 9 levels. The deepest is located 327 metres below the surface.
While visiting, during the 3,5 km route we will have a chance to see a lot of attractions between 64 and 135 metres of depth. We will admire beautiful chapels, charming, underground lakes, sculptures and many mining devices.
